Seolleung and Jeongneung in Seoul
SEOLLEUNG & JEONGNEUNG are some of the most famous historical areas in Seoul and are both
registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. SEOLLEUNG is the location of the graves of King
Seongjong, the 9th king of the Joseon Dynasty, and Queen Jeonghyeon, his wife. JEONGNEUNG
holds the grave of King Jungjong, the 11th king of the Joseon Dynasty. SEONJEONGNEUNG
(Historic Heritage No. 199) is located at the center of Seoul and, despite its busy location, is a little
known and quiet area perfect for a peaceful walk.
